Special Olympics New Jersey provides year round sports training and competition to more than 15,000 athletes from throughout the state, free of charge. We are able to do this through support from corporations, individuals, special events, direct marketing and a variety of other fundraising initiatives of which 72 cents of every dollar spent goes to provide training and competition to athletes. Below is a list of methods through which funds are raised for athletes, and information on how you, your company or civic group can join our championship team.

Individual Contributions: Residents from throughout the state support Special Olympics New Jersey through direct mail and telemarketing campaigns soliciting donations throughout the year. These campaigns, while raising much needed funds, educate the community about Special Olympics and promote community involvement. Special Olympics New Jersey Campaigns guarantee funds stay in New Jersey. Corporate Sponsorships: Corporations and civic organizations play a major role in providing financial support to Special Olympics New Jersey. Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities are offered for year round, seasonal and special events by contacting our office. In addition, Medallion Productions conducts a small business telemarketing campaign to enhance the image and promote public awareness of SONJ, and solicit donations on behalf of SONJ.

Fundraising Events: A variety of special events supporting Special Olympics New Jersey athletes are conducted year round including golf outings, tennis events, dinners, fun runs and much more. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey conducts the greatest number of events serving as our largest year round sponsor.
