New Jersey Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge

Be a Volunteer

Volunteers are a vital part of everything we do at Special Olympics New Jersey. It is through the efforts of our many dedicated volunteers for competitions and fundraising events that Special Olympics New Jersey is able to run the events and provide quality sports competitions for athletes.

Volunteers for the Plunge are utilized in a number of ways:

  • Individual Plunger Registration
  • Team Plunge Registration
  • Souvenir Sales
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and available to remain on duty from 8:30am until approximately 1:30pm.

Aside from the great feeling of doing good and helping to support the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey, each volunteer will receive a free lunch post-Plunge.

To volunteer for the Polar Bear Plunge, please contact Amy Simmons, our Volunteer Manager, at (609)896-8000 or by e-mail at .

Volunteers Fill
Various Roles

throughout the year at Special Olympics New Jersey. Some volunteer at events a few times a year, while others spend a few hours a week at the SONJ offices. Then there are those that take it to the next level and become coaches or committee members. How can you fit into the Special Olympics New Jersey team? Visit www.sonj.org to find out more about our organization and what you can do to help!
