Slalom: Slalom courses have the
most gates through which athletes must board. Athletes who can
make quick, tight turns do well in slalom competitions. Giant
slalom: Giant slalom is a longer course than slalom. There are
fewer gates, which are set further apart, making giant slalom a
combination of speed and turning skills.
Super G: Super G is a the speed event among snow boarders. It
involves boarding between widely spaced gates as in Giant
Slalom, but with fewer turns over a longer course allowing for
more speed. |
