TD Bank Kicks Off its 2011 “Be a Fan!” Campaign

As part of a multi-state campaign taking place May 16 thru June 30, TD Bank has teamed up with TD Ameritrade to encourage employees and customers to support Special Olympics.

“We are extremely excited to participate in the “Be a fan” campaign again this year,” said Fred Graziano, Head of Regional Retail Banking for TD Bank. “Last year’s campaign was a great success, and we encourage all TD Bank employees and customers to give what they can to support and ‘be a fan’ of Special Olympics.”

Once again TD is offering wristbands featuring Special Olympics and TD Bank logos as well as “Be a fan” inscribed on them for sale in each store for a donation of $5.

New this year are packages of campaign-themed SillyBandz that are available for small children who donate…or whose parents donate.  The SillyBandz are shaped like “TD”, “SO” and a torch.

Another fun way you can help is to bring all of your loose change to TD Bank’s Penny Arcade. After deposting the money in the arcade and getting a grand total, take your receipt to the teller and ask to donate part or all of the total to Special Olympics New Jersey.

You do not have to be a TD Bank customer to use the Penny Arcade! (TD Bank will waive the fee for noncustomers who donate.)

Last year TD Bank raised more than $1 million dollars for Special Olympics programs from Maine to Florida.
