Even though it is off-season down the shore, Galloway Township was full of competition on January 5 and 6!
More than 300 athletes took to Stockton University and Galloway Township Middle School for the kickoff to Winter Games. For the past couple months, they have been practicing and competing in floor hockey and volleyball to make it to the culminating winter sports competition event.
The weekend began with Unified Game Day at Stockton University, where students with and without disabilities improved their hockey and volleyball skills with volunteers from the Stockton Men’s Hockey and Women’s Volleyball teams.

The next two days were packed with action at both venues. Despite the dreary weather, it was a great turnout with smiles all around.
Outside of competition, athletes also had the chance to participate in performance stations to learn about healthier eating and wellness opportunities.
