Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) is back stronger than ever! 2022 proved we are #BetterTogether, as events returned to the slopes, courts, fields, beaches, and various other venues that host hundreds of competitions each year. Winter sports kicked off the year, followed by the return of full in-person polar bear plunges at Wildwood and Seaside. Summer Games showed us the power of sport to bring thousands of people back together and the fall season returned to participation numbers not seen in three years!
SONJ also sent a delegation of 175 athletes, coaches, and Unified partners to represent Team New Jersey at the 2022 USA Games in Orlando, Florida in June. It was a very busy year in which we all were able to Shine as One! Take a look back at an extraordinary 2022 with this video:
