Over 850 strong took to the tarmac at Newark Liberty International Airport to test their strength against a 93,000 lbs. Boeing 737, raising more than $162,000 to-date for 26,000+ Special Olympics New Jersey athletes.

44 Teams pulled for a cause at the 23rd annual Plane Pull presented by United Airlines. Teams, made up of no more than 20 members, were tasked with pulling the plane 12 feet as fast as possible. Then, the teams’ combination of strongest and lightest members were test in the “lowest combined weight” pull (which was untimed but completed within two minutes). Trophies for the top three places were also given out to teams and individuals with the highest fundraising totals.
