The 129th edition of the Penn Relays took place at University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field from Thursday through Saturday, April 24 – 26.
Competitors from hundreds of high schools and colleges were joined by Special Olympics programs from all over the country. They competed in four events: the traditional and Unified 4x100m relay, the men’s 100m dash, and the women’s 100m dash.
SONJ was represented by 15 runners from all over the state: 3 traditional relay teams, 2 individual male and 2 individual female 100 meter runners.
Our thanks go to Penn Relays for hosting us, Special Olympics Pennsylvania for making sure we all were in the right place at the right time, and all participating Special Olympics programs for sharing this amazing experience with.
