United Airlines provides a commitment to Special Olympics New Jersey that sets a precedent for support of a Special Olympics program by a major airline anywhere in the United States.
United partnered with Law Enforcement Torch Run as presenting sponsor to successfully “pull off” an event each fall called the Law Enforcement United Airlines Plane Pull. This event involves assorted teams that attempt to pull a United 737 jet which weighs over 93,000 pounds – all to raise funds for Special Olympics New Jersey.
United is recognized as the official airline of Team New Jersey as they head to the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle, Washington.
