On February 23rd the 26th annual Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside brought nearly 7,500 plungers, thousands of spectators and hundreds of volunteers, helping to raise $2.2 million for the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey!

The water temperature reached a high of 41 degrees, while the air was a chilling 37 degrees, a great day to get #FreezinForAReason!

The cold winter weather didn’t stop participants from dressing in creative costumes and characters ranging from colorful mermaids, superheroes, pirates, clowns, unicorns, rock legends and more!

A special shoutout goes to New Jersey 101.5 and Big Joe Henry, who hosted a live broadcast from Spicy Cantina on the boardwalk.

Is there any possible way I can get some of the sweatshirts from the polar bear plunge from 2019?

This has been passed along to the Plunge organizers. If it is possible, they will be in touch. Thanks!
