Thanks to everyone who participated in the first Celebrating Our Champions Online Auction, which featured a vast array of items in a variety of price categories.
Our first large, online auction was very successful thanks to all our generous donors and bidders! Bidding started on September 15 and culminated with a late night bidding frenzy at 11PM on October 15.
This year certainly has brought many new challenges for all of us. Our athlete programming and our fundraising initiatives have been altered, but with these challenges come new opportunities! Proceeds of the auction provide resources to keep us connected to our athlete community and provide a safe environment, as they start returning to activities.
438 people took part in the auction as bidders, helping us raise over $69,000!
There were even a few bidding wars on some of the most popular items such as the Carly Lloyd jersey and soccer ball, which sold for an impressive $1,020!
The online auction encompassed all types of items, especially from many local small businesses and female-owned businesses. Everyday, we featured an “Item of the Day” on our Instagram stories and interacted with donors, who were always proud to show off their support! An “Item of the Week” was also featured across our social media platforms every week.
