Have you ever played “tug of war” with a 30,000-lb fire truck?

Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) and the Law Enforcement Torch Run held their first Fire Truck Pull on April 22, 2023 at the West Trenton Volunteer Fire Company.

The event featured 21 registered teams and 135 registered participants in total. Each team tried to win two timed events including a fastest pull of 12 feet, and the lowest combined weight to pull 12 feet within 2 minutes.

Awards were also given out to the top fundraiser, Joseph Monaco, and top fundraising team, NOBEL.  All proceeds from the event benefits Special Olympics New Jersey and the thousands of athletes and Unified partners they serve.
