The 32nd Annual Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K was a huge success with nearly 2,000 runners raising $175,000 for Special Olympics New Jersey!
It was a cool morning but runners got warmed up with a group stretch from Josh Margolis from Mind Over Matter NYC.
From there, our elite runners started off the day. Kevin Rankin of New York, ran the 5K in 17:18 to take home first place overall with the top female finisher, Julia Hickman, racing in at 21:40. Special Olympics New Jersey athlete Noah Dellas ran an impressive 19:32 finishing in 11th place out of all the competitors.
The second group, a more relaxed race, finished the day off!
The event would not have been possible without the support of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and AmeriHealth!
Great morning for a run with nearly 2,000 friends of Special Olympics New Jersey! Extra Thanks to our presenting partner, @AmeriHealthNJ! pic.twitter.com/TrbXm6N94h
