The 125th edition of the Penn Relays took place last Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27, and featured 24 athletes from Special Olympics New Jersey. Athletes from Hamilton West High School, Hopewell Valley Central, Moorestown High School, Willingboro, and Union City competed among hundreds of other high school and college athletes to showcase their talents.
Along with competing, a few lucky athletes had the opportunity to meet fellow Olympics athlete, Carl Lewis!

Joining Special Olympics New Jersey, athletes from five other Special Olympics programs (Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, and Florida) competed in four events: the traditional and Unified 4x100m relay, the men’s 100m dash, and the women’s 100m dash.
Overall, Special Olympics New Jersey athletes represented well and had an amazing day of competition.
