Special Olympics New Jersey’s annual Night of Champions awards dinner was held on November 17, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton. This gathering is to celebrate the organization’s amazing accomplishments and successes of the past year.
Awards categories include 13 outstanding area athletes, several volunteers, spirit awards, SONJ Hall of Fame, LETR Hall of Fame, and a Lifetime Achievement award.
Chief Robert Belfiore received the LETR Hall of Fame award and was treated to the video below.
Lillian Narvaez won the Marc S. Edenzon Lifetime Achievement Award, which is given to individuals with at least 15 years of involvement with the Special Olympics movement who have demonstrated a lifetime of commitment and compassion to the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey. Some of her friends and family submitted their congratulations.

You truly are the magic behind every practice, event, competition, and initiative we had this year! We honored and recognized many dedicated individuals for their commitment and devotion to our athletes and program in New Jersey. Congratulations to all the award winners. You are true champions!
