Special Olympics New Jersey’s annual Night of Champions awards dinner was held on November 17, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton. This gathering is to celebrate the organization’s amazing accomplishments and successes of the past year.

Awards categories include 13 outstanding area athletes, several volunteers, spirit awards, SONJ Hall of Fame, LETR Hall of Fame, and a Lifetime Achievement award.

Chief Robert Belfiore received the LETR Hall of Fame award and was treated to the video below.


Lillian Narvaez won the Marc S. Edenzon Lifetime Achievement Award, which is given to individuals with at least 15 years of involvement with the Special Olympics movement who have demonstrated a lifetime of commitment and compassion to the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey. Some of her friends and family submitted their congratulations.

      Roberto Hernandez He Does The Best Swimmer At Steinert High School East He Has Been Very Nice Strokes For The Third Year 2023-24 Season This Year Joseph Capone Is Having A Great Year And He Has Been Great Team Joseph Capone Was Great Swimming With Him This Weekend On Sunday 2023-24 His Friend Roberto Hernandez He’s Having Dinner With His Family Congratulations To The Mercer Sailfish Team & We Can’t Wait To Have Him In The Competition This Year
