Additionally, the inaugural Bike SONJ: Ride for Inclusion took place on Saturday at Skillman Park – the fundraising event started shortly before Fall Games Cycling to give participants an opportunity to interact with SONJ athletes. The event, sponsored by the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey, raised $13,000 for SONJ athletes. In its first year, the event had 64 total riders participating in three different rides – 15-mile, 30-mile, and 50-mile courses.

A special thanks to the following police departments for their support of this event: Montgomery, Hopewell Township, Hillsborough, Franklin Township, South Brunswick, and the New Jersey State Police. Also, appreciation and acknowledgement to Educational Testing Service and Willows Swim Club for allowing us to user their facilities as rest stops along the courses.

Finally, the Unified Generation fought off the rain for a modified Unified Cup Soccer tournament at the SONJ Sports Complex in Lawrenceville, NJ on Sunday. Seven schools (College & High School) brought their Unified Soccer teams to compete, as well as enjoyed music and food.
