Set your goal higher than the required minimum to something that is a stretch, but feels doable.
Some events have incentive prizes and as you hit fundraising milestones, you’ll earn these awesome incentives (which are cumulative). The more money you raise, the more cool stuff you’ll receive!
But really, set a goal that is achievable. Donors will be more likely to give, when they feel like they can actually succeed and help your campaign cross the finish line. Hitting your goal can provide a boost of motivation to keep fundraising and see how much you can surpass their original goal. Bigger goals can seem too daunting and cause people to feel like their gift won’t make a real difference.
Plus, you can always increase your goal on your fundraising page! Just Log in to your page, Click MANAGE and head over to the DETAILS tab.
