Remember, after thanking donors for their initial gifts, you’re not done. Following up is a cornerstone of successful fundraising. Give your network updates as you go.
Your donors will want to know how their contributions are helping you achieve your goals, so keep them posted! Reaching your fundraising goal is cause for celebration, of course, but don’t overlook other opportunities to build excitement and keep your donors engaged.
After the event, share the joy with your supporters. Tell them the story of the event with pictures or a video. They just helped you achieve success, so they should be part of the celebration.
Share the results. Following up with donors on the specific impact of their gifts will not only make them feel good, but also builds trust.
Show your donors how their gifts help transform the lives of Special Olympics athletes across the state.
