Summer Games

Nearly 2,500 athletes will compete in seven sports during the 2015 Summer Games at The College of New Jersey in Ewing. A spectacular Opening Ceremony, with a parade of athletes and lighting of the Cauldron, takes place Friday evening to kick off two great days of competition. More on the Summer Games »

Camp Shriver

Each summer Special Olympics New Jersey conducts Camp Shriver, a fun sports camp for individuals with intellectual disabilities. While the goal is to have fun, athletes also work on enhancing their proficiency and skills in a variety of sports. More information »

This past Sunday, the first-ever High School Shriver Cup Interscholastic Unified Bowling Tournament was held. Nine teams of students with and without disabilities from West Windsor-Plainsboro, Clifton, Raritan/Hazlet, Montgomery and Washington Township schools competed for the Shriver Cup. This was the culminating tournament for Special Olympics New Jersey's Play Unified Interscholastic Bowling League, in which over 350 students from 15 schools participated. More »

For the final session of Athlete University, athletes were engaged by Jen Croneberger, a motivational speaker. Jen presented her signature program, The Five C's of Leadership, which highlights the necessity for us all to show up as our best selves. The 29th Annual Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K, held this past Sunday, raised $225,000 and had 3,000 participants. This unique race gives those participating in the event the chance to run under the Hudson River from Weehawken to New York and back. More »
