Special Olympics Unified Sports is a fast-growing initiative that brings people with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team to compete.

That initiative was on display at the Unified Bowling Cup Tournament this past weekend. Athletes in the tournament compete in pairs, one athlete and one unified partner. By the end of the day, 130 bowlers from 18 different middle and high schools competed.

Those numbers wound up being the largest numbers since the bowling tournament started 4 years ago.
